Sites That Makes Me Skip My Work

Just posting some of my favorite sites I usually surf when not busy or just want to skip my work.
I got 5 folders in my favorites: Personal, Tutorials, Mails, Media and Interest and Hobbies.

Personal folder.
Contains the blog sites of my hubby, my officemate and mine ofcouse. Why its my favorite? Just want to read what they think about anything.

Contains shortcuts to YahooMail! and Microsoft Outlook Web Access. I always check my email everyday. I get disappointed when there's no new mail for me. I usually look for my Elite Coe's groups folder for news and threads of chats about any topic.

I don't usually store mp3s in my laptop. It just consumes a lot of space and slows down my pc. So what I do is I listen to radio online. (slowing down our network instead?)

Learn Not To Expect

It is Monday today. I usually wear red blouse every monday believing and hoping that it will give luck for my whole week activities. I want to start my week with a smile and a good outlook in my work. But how can it be possible if it just started wrong...

I was upset this morning because of my husband. He asked me to buy him native delicacies from a stand along buendia while we are on a stop in the middle of the traffic. Im afraid to get off the car thinking that the traffic may start to go in any minute. But he insisted so I immediately got off the car and buy him 'biko'. As soon as got in the car, I told him "Dalawa binili ko syo.". Im expecting him to thank me but instead he said "D naman ata biko to eh". I was disappointed by the way he said that because that was the second time he ignored what I did to him. The first one is just yesterday. I cooked him his favorite spaghetti. I was sweating a lot while cooking because no fresh air was coming in our dirty kitchen. But I still excitedly continue cooking because I knew it's my husband's and baby's favorite. I prepared our plate while he brought some spaghetti to my parents. When he came back, I still wait for him to thank me but instead I saw a quite disappointed face. I ask him if he didn't like the taste of spaghetti and he said it's not the taste but the fact that I already mixed the sauce with the noodles. Ok that's it. He noticed my mistake but not my effort in cooking it. My effort in preparing the plate so when he came back he'll just be sitting down and eat spaghetti. Actually I did not mixed the sauce and the noodles, it just looked mixed together because I put a lot of sauce on top of the noodles. I, being disappointed, lost my appetite and just cleaned the dishes afterwards.

This morning is just a repetition of what was happened yesterday. He already said sorry but why does it have to happen again? Isn't asking for forgiveness comes together with the promise that it won't happen again?

As soon as he got in the office he emailed me realizing his mistakes:
"Mommy, sorry if I hurt your feelings again. D pa nga ako nkkabawi dun sa isa, ito na naman. If it will make you any better, I want you to know na I really really feel bad because of what I did/do. I love you. "
Then I replied.
"Ok lng. Just please try to be sensitive and appreciative enough to acknowledge the things I’m doing for you. Thanks for the apology. I feel better now but still not expecting this won’t happen again….. at least I won’t get hurt that much if you do it again."

I hope I still get luck from wearing red clothes today.

Earthquake Premonitions

I received some emails telling that there will be earthquakes in Manila sometime 2nd to 3rd week of April 2005. It is really scary that I volunteered my daughter to have 2 weeks vacation in Laguna to get her away from Manila. Today is just her first week in Laguna and I really miss her so much. I usually don't believe in premonitions because I believe that only God knows what the future is. I made some researches and it matches some of premonitions listed. Please let us pray that this wont happen. If so, may we all survive this tragedy.

Email 1:

HI FRIENDS!
I WLD LIKE TO SHARE WITH U A MESSAGE THAT WAS SHARED TO ME. I JUST DON'T KNOW HOW TO RELATE IT TO U ALL AND HOW I GOT INVOLVED WITH WHAT I'M DOING NOW. BUT I HOPE THAT U WLD TAKE THIS VERY SERIOUSLY.
ABT 3 WEEKS AGO, I RECEIVED A TEXT MSG FROM A CLASSMATE FROM MEDICAL SCHOOL ASKING ME TO PRAY EARNESTLY AND TO PASS ON A MESSAGE THAT WARNED A FORTHCOMING DISASTER SO DEVASTATING THAT WILL DESTROY HALF OF MANILA AND QUEZON CITY. I THOUGHT OF IT AS A PRANK MESSAGE THAT WILL MAKE THE TELECOM COMPANIES EARN MILLIONS FROM THIS TEXT MESSAGE. SO INSTEAD OF PASSING IT TO FRIENDS, I DELETED IT AND FORGOT ALL ABT IT.
2 WEEKS AFTER THAT, A FRIEND OF MINE CAME TO SEE ME AT MY CLINIC. THOUGHT SHE BROUGHT HER DAUGHTER FOR A CONSULTATION, I FOUND OUT THAT NOTHING WAS WRONG. THEN WE GOT INTO A CONVERSATION. IT WAS HERE THAT SHE MENTIONED TO ME THAT A FRIEND OF HERS WITH A PSYCHIC POWER INFORMED HER OF A FORTHCOMING DISASTER THAT WILL GREATLY AFFECT MANILA AND QUEZON CITY. THIS PERSON SAW THE EARTHQUAKE IN JAPAN BEFORE IT HAPPENED. MY FRIEND KNEW THAT I RESIDE IN MANILA SO SHE WARNED ME TO LEAVE MANILA SOMETIME BETWEEN THE 2ND TO 3RD WEEK OF APRIL. SHE SAID WATER WILL DESTROY THE CITY AND WILL DAMAGE THE FUEL DEPO IN MANILA THAT WILL EVENTUALLY CREATE A SEA OF FIRE. SO MANY LIVES WILL BE AT STAKE. BEFORE SHE LEFT, SHE TOLD ME TAKE THE MATTER VERY SERIOUSLY. THAT WAS THE TIME THAT I RECALLED THE TEXT MSG SENT TO ME WEEKS BEFORE. SHE TOLD ME THAT IT WILL TAKE ABT 2-3 DAYS BEFORE THE WATER THAT WILL FLOOD MANILA RECEDES. SHE PROMISED THAT WHEN THE VISION BECOMES CLEARER, SHE WILL IN FORM ME.
THIS MORNING (3APR05), THE DAY THAT POPE DIED SHE SENT ME A TEXT MSG TO REMIND ME OF WHAT SHE SAID. THE DIASATER WILL HAPPEN FEW DAYS AFTER APR 15. IT WILL BE INITIATED BY AN EARTHQUAKE. FEW MINUTES AFTER I FORWARDED THE MSG, I LEARNED THAT MANILA WAS ROCKED BY A MILD EARTHQUAKE (I WAS IN LA UNION IN THE MORNING). I WAS TOLD TO PRAY MORE SO THAT WE MAY TRY TO MEDIATE THAT THE IMPENDING DISASTER BE PREVENTED IF POSSIBLE.
THIS MOMENT, 2142H, 03APR05, I WRITE THIS MAIL TO INFORM U THAT U PLEASE INFORM UR LOVED ONES IN THE AREA TO DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO SAVE THEMSELVES. I HAVE ALREADY MOVED MY CHILDREN TO LA UNION LAST NIGHT FOR SAFETY. I HAD TALKED TO SOME FRIENDS ABT IT AND SOME HAVE TOLD ME THAT FEW PSYCHIC FRIENDS OF THEIRS HAVE TOLD THEM A SIMILAR STORY. ONE FRIEND TOLD ME THAT THE EARTHQUAKE WLD MOVE SOME LAND FURTHER INTO MANILA BAY. THE MARIKINA TRENCH MAY BE INVOLVED THIS TIME...ALL I ASK IS FOR ALL OF U TO TAKE THE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS...PLS SAVE MUCH WATER AND FOOD AS I WAS ADVISED...I'M MOVING OUT AND GOING TO THE PROVINCE BEFORE THE 15TH...NO HARM IN FOLLOWING A FRIENDLY ADVICE AND HOPE U GUYS DO THE SAME....THAT WILL GIVE ME A WEEK MORE OF THE NEEDED VACATION....
KIDDING ASIDE, HOPE I DID MY PART OF INFORMING U THE WARNING THAT WAS SHARED TO ME. LET'S ALL HOPE THAT IT WILL BE AVERTED. BUT ONLY GOD KNOWS THE PURPOSE WHY IT HAS TO HAPPEN.

Hi everyone,
I hope you are all okey and doing well in your job,
career, etc.
Anyway, yesterday, my friend texted me with a
message that there is this healing nun who was told by
a visionary that an earthquake will hit Metro Manila
in 2005. The earthquake will originate in Quezon City
and portion of Manila will slide into the Manila Bay.
The text was so scary that I decided to make a
research first before I even sent it to friends. I
searched through Googles.com and found this article in

another mystery that Sister Raquel is anxious to make
known. And it is a frightening scenario revealed to
seven "visionaries" who are in touch with her, she

monastic community, the nun adds.

isn't the first that the visionary has revealed. Three
months before the deadly tsunami struck and killed
280,000 people across Asia and parts of Africa on

a visionary who said, "I see ocean waters rising,

series of massive earthquakes will hit Metro Manila in
2005." The nun's exact words: "This will originate in
Quezon City and a portion of Manila will slide into

in the Pacific, Atlantic, China, the Indian Ocean.

Terrified? These need not happen, Sister Raquel says,
if people change their ways and seek the way of God
through prayer, repentance and good works. In other
words, God can change His mind.
If the dire prediction does not come to pass, she
could very well end up being ridiculed by the world.
But that's fine with her, says Sister Raquel. She is
ready to face humiliation and be called a charlatan,
she says, citing the case of Jonah (the prophet who
was swallowed by the whale and survived to tell the
tale) in the Old Testament of the Bible. God held back
his wrath on Nineveh when he saw the people repent.
Jonah, who had warned the people, ended up looking
like a fool."
When I told this to my officemates, they said that
recently, snakes are found in Quezon City. It is also
in the news that certain animails in China are now
going up the mountain.
These are information that I want to share with
you. You may send it to your loved ones or ignore my
letter. But if you don't doubt my email, I hope you
can help me spread this information so that many
people will be informed and change their offensive
attitude.

Goodbye Pope John Paul II

I was surprised one morning when I surfed the net for news abroad to find out the Pope is very ill. I know he's old and sick but I didn't know that he's seriously ill. When I saw him in television waving his hands from a window to thousands of people outside the church, I thought he's gonna be alright. Millions had prayed for him to get well but God still chose to end his life. God has His reasons why this happened. Come to think of it, our beloved Pope is with Him now. No more pains and sufferings. He may not be with us but he will always be in our heart. He may not hear our voices but he will be our voice to heaven.

I considered my self lucky for I saw him in person during the World Youth Day. When his bullet-proof car passed in front of me, I got goosebumps. His holiness was overflowing that it touches everyone's heart and soul. I felt cleansed and renewed that time. What a wonderful experience!

Our dearest Pope, you become an inspiration to everyone. Thank you for the entire life you've been with us. We may not be as good as you were but we promise to be good at our very best. Goodbye and hope to be with you when our time comes.

Terri Schiavo Death

I was so mad when I heard the news that Terri is already dead. So many questions popped out in my mind. What is their right to end somebody's life? How would they know that Terri doesn't want to live anymore if she can not speak? Even so, only God has the right to end her life because He gave that life to her.

To all who wished her dead, you're not God to decide whether to let her live or die. To his husband, how dare you to promise to God when the time you marry her to take her for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, till death do you part. Then you're the first one to wish her dead? If you didn't love her anymore why dont you just give her back to her parents. You asked her from them and isn't right to give her back to them since you can not take good care of her anymore?

I am very disappointed....
